Lifeward has appointed Josh Hexter as interim CEO, effective today. The company also named Rami Aviran as CFO, effective November 1.

Hexter follows Mark Grant, who chose to leave Lifeward to chase other opportunities after leading development and implementation of its current commercial strategy. Grant will be a consultant with the company through September 30 to ensure a smooth transition. He’s served as Lifeward’s CEO since June 2, 2025.

Hexter brings almost 30 years of life sciences leadership and business development experience. His background includes executive roles at Oramed Pharmaceuticals, BrainsWay, and BioLineRx, as well as positions in private equity and venture capital. He also founded and led Biosensor Systems Design as CEO.

Aviram has experience building finance functions at global technology and medical device companies during periods of growth. He most recently served as CFO of Beewise and previously held chief finance roles at ENDYMED Medical and senior finance positions at Syneron-Candela.

He succeeds Almog Adar, who was promoted to the chief finance position in August 2025.

Lifeward’s Q2 2026 revenue rose 16% year over year to $6.6 million, the company’s strongest quarterly performance since Q4 2024. ReWalk personal exoskeleton sales grew 13%, while AlterG product and service revenue increased 25%.

Comments from Grant and Hexter:

Grant: “When I joined Lifeward, my priority was building the commercial foundation to scale the business: strengthening our reimbursement capabilities, expanding our distribution model and positioning the company with the capital to execute its growth strategy. With that foundation in place and delivering results, I have decided to pursue other opportunities. I am proud of what our team accomplished and confident Josh, Rami and the Board will build on this momentum.”

Hexter: “Lifeward has reached an important point in its development, with the commercial infrastructure, reimbursement foundation and distribution strategy in place to support a much larger business. Mark built Lifeward’s commercial and reimbursement infrastructure and successfully expanded its distribution model, putting the Company in a strong position to scale from here. My priority as Interim CEO will be to build on the Company’s established commercial execution strategy and leverage Lifeward’s platform across its growing portfolio of rehabilitation technologies.”
